Basic training sessions on state aid rules held in another 22 local self-government units
During November 2019, experts engaged within the project Support to the Commission for State Aid Control held basic training sessions for employees of 22 local self-government units in Serbia. This was a continuation of the project activity which envisages organisations of basic training sessions on state aid control rules in all 174 local self-government units.
A team of project experts – Svetlana Šćepanović Markočević and Ranko Lučić – delivered trainings in municipalities of Tutin, Sjenica, Ivanjica, Lučani, Prijepolje, Priboj, Nova Varoš, Arilje, Novi Pazar, Raška, Kuršumlija, Brus, Blace and Kruševac. The second team, consisting of experts Alma Muminović and Aleksandar Ristić, held trainings across Vojvodina province, in municipalities of Apatin, Odžaci, Bač, Bačka Palanka, Bački Petrovac, Vrbas, Kula and Mali Iđoš.
The training sessions focused on modernised state aid rules that are in force in the European Union, as well as state aid rules most commonly used in practice – in the field of regional development, to support small and medium-sized enterprises and to protect the environment. The project experts also discussed with the trainees the practical application of the rules on state aid in the field of employment, as well as possible challenges in their work.
